Thursday evenings - 6:00-7:00 PM

Community Hour is a rotating evening series at Moncus Park designed to bring neighbors together through shared experiences and meaningful connection. Featuring activities such as trivia, family game nights, cultural gatherings, and drum circles, each event fosters a sense of belonging in an open, welcoming outdoor setting.

Free and open to all ages, Community Hour invites the community to gather, engage, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of Acadiana.

Language Cafe

September 17 - October 15 - November 19 - 6:00 PM - Treehouse

A monthly cultural gathering where language and community meet. September: Hispanic Heritage Month, Spanish language and traditions. October: Filipino American Heritage Month, Filipino Fiesta. November: Native American Heritage Month, Native languages.

Family Game Night

September 3 - October 1 - 6:00-7:00 PM - Treehouse

Outdoor fun and friendly competition with classic and oversized games, chess, checkers, Connect 4, Jenga, tic-tac-toe, and cornhole. No registration or equipment needed, just show up and play.

Feel the rhythm and connect with your community at our Community Drum Circle, led by Lee Ann Broussard with Trinity. Bring a drum if you have one, no experience needed, just show up and feel the beat.

Grab a hook and join Crystal Bridgewater for a laid-back evening of crochet and conversation. Bring your own supplies or borrow from the extra yarn and hooks on hand. All skill levels welcome.
