Hours of Operation

Moncus Park is open seven days a week.

The Park is open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. All unimproved & unlit areas are open from sunrise to sunset.

The Play Area is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Our Lady of Lourdes Interactive Water Adventure is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for fall and winter hours. The Water Adventure is closed every Tuesday until 12:00 p.m. for cleaning.

Moncus Park Parking Information

As a nonprofit, your paid parking is essential, raising $250,000 annually of our $2.5 million budget. This crucial support helps maintain our facilities, amenities, and diverse free programs, activities, and events. We rely on your contributions to keep Moncus Park vibrant and accessible for everyone. Thank you for being a part of our mission! Parking Rates and Details:

Rate per Hour: $2.00
Visits Under 30 Minutes: Free
Maximum Rate per Day: $10.00
Lost Ticket per Day: $10.00
Mondays: Free for all visitors

Parking Rates by Duration:
Mondays: Free
0-30 minutes: Free
31-60 minutes: $2
61-120 minutes: $4
121-180 minutes: $6
181-240 minutes: $8
241-300 minutes: $10

Sales tax is included in all parking rates. Handicap parking and ADA-accessible pathways are available.

Avoid parking in lots belonging to nearby businesses to avoid the risk of towing. 

Friends of Moncus Park, our membership program participants, enjoy unlimited free parking starting at $15 monthly. Discover more at www.moncuspark.org/membership.

Fishing

Thanks to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, our 4-acre wetland pond is fully stocked! Fishing is encouraged, and we have a catch-and-release policy. If you’re 18 or older, you must have a Basic Fishing License to fish recreationally in Louisiana waters.

Bus / RV Parking

We can accommodate Bus and RV parking in our overflow lot beyond the parking lot. To let us know when you plan to visit, call our office at (337) 500-1177 Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Photography / Videography

Photographers are welcome at Moncus Park with no permit or fee required for casual photography. We invite you to capture your special moments - engagement photos, family portraits, or scenic landscape shots throughout the park. To preserve our natural environment, we ask that you refrain from using balloons, confetti, or any props that could potentially damage plants, and please leave all natural elements undisturbed. Please note that mini-sessions and multi-session photography require rental space; contact events@moncuspark.org to book these professional sessions. We encourage you to tag @moncuspark when sharing your photos. Regarding drones: all drone flight requires prior approval. Please email the park at info@moncuspark.org to request a flight.
