Can I Bring...

Yes, you're welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. However, alcohol is not permitted in the park without a permit. Tents, inflatables, and other large setups are only allowed with a facility rental or special event permit.

Pets...

Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park and must be supervised at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. The off-leash dog parks require a permit that costs $15 annually and can be purchased at moncuspark.org/dogpark.

Fishing

Thanks to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, our 4-acre wetland pond is fully stocked! Fishing is encouraged, and we have a catch-and-release policy. If you’re 18 or older, you must have a Basic Fishing License to fish recreationally in Louisiana waters.

Bus / RV Parking

We can accommodate Bus and RV parking in our overflow lot beyond the parking lot. To let us know when you plan to visit, call our office at (337) 500-1177 Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Photography / Videography

Casual photography is welcome at Moncus Park — no permit or fee required. Feel free to capture engagement photos, family moments, or scenic views. Please avoid balloons, confetti, or props that could harm the environment, and leave nature undisturbed. Mini-sessions and professional photo sessions require a rental; contact events@moncuspark.org to book. Drone use must be approved in advance — email info@moncuspark.org to request permission.
