Silent Auction Raises Money for Horse Farm

Saturday at the Horse Farm a unique and artistic effort took place to raise money for its transformation into a public park.  A silent art auction took place to raise money for the market at the Horse Farm. Louisiana themed paintings were painted onto 30 windows, each window aging one hundred years old. Unlike most works of art, these were painted in reverse. “You paint the foreground before the background and it’s actually a lot more difficult than it sounds.” said art student Amber Soignier. Just ask art student, Heidi Dugas, who imitated a famous abstract painter.
