Meet our new Events & Programming Director and the queen behind some of NOLA’s largest festivals, Heather Twichell.

Heather brings over fifteen years of festival and event experience to the team at Moncus Park. Her passion for showcasing the best culinary and cultural representatives of New Orleans and Louisiana gained local and national award recognition for French Quarter Festival, Inc.

Heather is a native of New Orleans with family roots in New Iberia. Whether developing the design for a fireworks show, planning routes for festival shuttles, leading a high school marching band into a museum, or dispatching hundreds of cupcakes into a crowd celebrating Louis Armstrong’s birthday, she strives to craft meaningful moments and components within each event.

Her quirky and bright personality is a welcome addition to our team and her expertise is beyond impressive. With Heather leading the charge, we can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for this year’s Christmas in the Park festival.
