TRAINING SCHEDULE
The training schedule is divided into six blocks of two weeks each, covering various skills from basic commands to more advanced exercises, culminating in an assessment and graduation.

In the first two weeks, the focus is on orientation and the “Watch Me” command, setting the foundation for future training.

Weeks 3 and 4 introduce the “Name Game,” “Sit,” “Down,” “Stand,” and “Leave-It” commands. This period is crucial for teaching basic commands that will be essential for the dog’s training progression.

During weeks 5 and 6, reinforcement of previous commands is emphasized. New skills introduced include reinforcement with sit at the side, sit and down stay for 10 seconds, and the “Go to Bed” command, which teaches the dog to go to a designated resting place.

Weeks 7 and 8, new exercises include loose leash walking with two steps and sit at the side, improving the sit and down stay to 10 seconds, “Come” command with back up and call, asking for a sit in front, and the “Give/Take” exercise for resource guarding.

In weeks 9 and 10, training includes previous commands and introduces loose leash walking with ten steps and an automatic sit, plus a “Wait at Door” exercise to teach patience and control. Depending on the dog’s progress, either “Leave-It” or “Give/Take” is practiced, along with a fun “Musical Chairs” game for sit or down stay, adding an element of play to reinforce training.

The final weeks, 11 and 12, are for consolidating the skills learned, including “Watch Me,” “Name,” “Sit/Down/Stand,” “Sit at Side,” “L-Leash walking,” “Stay” for 20 seconds, and “Leave-It.” This period concludes with an assessment and graduation, celebrating the dog’s progress and achievements in training.
