Moncus Park is open 365 days a year from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Please note that unlit areas in the back 50 acres of the park are open from sunrise to sunset. Specific features like the dog parks, splash pad, and treehouse may have varied hours for cleaning.

Can I Bring...

You’re welcome to bring your own food and non‑alcoholic drinks to enjoy in the park. Please note that alcohol is not permitted without an approved permit, and tents, inflatables, or other large setups require a facility rental or special event permit.

Pets...

Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park and must be supervised at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. The off-leash dog parks require a permit that costs $15 annually and can be purchased at moncuspark.org/dogpark.

Fishing

Thanks to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, our 4-acre wetland pond is fully stocked! Fishing is encouraged, and we have a catch-and-release policy. If you’re 18 or older, you must have a Basic Fishing License to fish recreationally in Louisiana waters.
