We’re excited to share a brand-new way to enjoy Moncus Park — for free!
Thanks to a new partnership between Moncus Park and the Lafayette Public Library, visitors can now pick up a free, one-time-use parking pass from any library branch across the parish. It’s easy, fun, and a great way to enjoy the park at no cost.
Here’s how it works:
-
Passes are available at all Lafayette Public Library locations
-
Each pass is good for one vehicle, one visit
-
Patrons can call their local branch to check availability
-
Passes include clear instructions printed right on them
- Not applicable at special events such as movie nights or concerts
These passes don’t need to be returned — just grab one at the library, bring it with you to the park, and enjoy your visit.
We’re proud to team up with the library to offer even more ways for families to enjoy Moncus Park. By making passes available through the library system, we’re helping more people connect with nature, play outside, and spend quality time together — all in a simple, low-cost way.
This partnership supports our ongoing focus on Community and Belonging, one of the core pillars of Moncus Park’s mission. We’re committed to making the park feel welcoming and accessible to everyone, no matter their income, ability, or background.
So whether you’re planning a picnic, walking your pup, cooling off at the splash pad, or just relaxing under the oaks — this new option helps make your visit even easier.
Ready to visit?
Grab your library card, swing by a branch, and check out a pass. We’ll see you at the park!
