Legislation that would exempt the former UL Horse Farm and adjacent property from the state lease law drew unanimous support Tuesday from the Lafayette City-Parish Council. State Rep. Joel Robideaux, R-Lafayette, introduced House Bill 992 but asked for council support before pushing the measure through a House committee, said City-Parish Attorney Mike Hebert, who helped draft the bill.
