Party in the Park presented by Party Central scheduled for Sunday, May 21st  at Moncus Park has been canceled due to forecasted thunderstorms and gusty winds. Putting the safety of their guests and event partners first, the team at Moncus Park made the final decision to call off the event Saturday morning. Moncus Park is thrilled to announce the opening of the First Horizon Amphitheater with a free community event, “Party in the Park.” “Party in the Park” will be held Sunday, May 22 from noon to 6:00 pm featuring DJ Digital, Bad Bongo, New Natives Brass Band, and local legend, Wayne Toups. Guests can expect food and beverages for sale, kids activities, and a great family-friendly environment with gorgeous views.

The First Horizon Amphitheater is an open-air venue with a flexible 3,000-person capacity surrounded by rolling hills and a view of a 4-acre Lake Reaux in newly opened Moncus Park.

Moncus Park is located at 2913 Johnston Street with limited on-site parking.  Park visitors are asked to leave their ice chests, glass containers, and pets at home for all public events. Chairs and picnic blankets are encouraged.
