Lucia specializes in “effigy” baskets, animal-shaped designs like turtles, ducks, and hummingbirds, a technique passed down from her grandmother and mother. Blending traditional and contemporary methods, she hand-picks her pine needles and dyes her own raffia to create each signature piece.
